Job summary

Schumacher Homes is seeking a Construction Manager to lead on-site homebuilding in the Lafayette, LA market. You will work with customers to plan their custom home, schedule trades, and ensure quality, timing, and homeowner satisfaction.

The role requires residential construction knowledge, experience with field crews, and comfort using mobile tech (Smart Phone, iPad) and Outlook. Company benefits and a 36-hour work week are offered.

Qualifications

• Prior scattered-site residential construction experience (preferred).
• Technical construction knowledge to understand construction processes and terminology to assist in management of field personnel and systems.
• Computer experience - the ability to use technology (Smart Phone, I-Pad). Experience with Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Works with customers to build their dream home, schedules trades, and ensures quality, timely construction and homeowner satisfaction.
• Builds assigned homes within time, cost, quality and satisfaction standards.
• Participates in pre-construction meetings with General Manager, Customer Coordinators and homeowners.
