Job summary

Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Construction Foreman for the U.S. Rebuild team in Harrison County, West Virginia. This full-time on-site role supports on-site volunteer teams, oversees builds, ensures safety and quality, and coordinates with the Project Superintendent, Volunteers, and Logistics Coordinators.

The position requirements include a 1-year certificate, 3–6 years of related residential construction experience, and strong reading of blueprints and plans. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from a college or technical school with 3–6 years of related experience.
• Experience with all aspects of residential home construction.
• Ability to read construction drawings and blueprints.
• Highly effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Project Superintendent, Volunteer Coordinators, and Logistics Coordinators to design and construct homes that bring hope to the affected community.
• Engage with on-site volunteer teams, providing hands-on training and support. Guide team members to ensure they understand their roles and contribute effectively.
• Oversee project progress, ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines, and maintain high craftsmanship standards.
• Conduct thorough inspections to ensure adherence to laws and codes, and communicate progress and needs to volunteers and partners.
