Job summary

Samaritan's Purse in Harrison County, West Virginia, is seeking an Assistant Project Superintendent to join our U.S. Rebuild team.

This role oversees site activities, coordinates with sub-contractors, and ensures projects meet safety standards and budget constraints. The ideal candidate has a technical certificate, 8–10 years of related experience with 3–5 years in site supervision, and a solid ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from a college or technical school with 8–10 years of related experience.
• 3–5 years of site supervision experience.
• Twelve college-level Biblical studies credits required.
• Thorough knowledge of the construction industry and processes; ability to read construction drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site activities with the Project Superintendent and manage sub-contractors (electrical, plumbing, drywall, HVAC).
• Ensure quality, safety, and budget compliance across projects.
• Lead weekly staff meetings and visit worksites daily.
• Coordinate with local churches for follow-up and program continuity after project completion.

We are seeking an Assistant Project Superintendent to join our U.S. Rebuild team in Harrison County, West Virginia.

In the role of Assistant Project Superintendent, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
• Work jointly with the Project Superintendent in overseeing all site activities, work done by independent sub-contractors (electrical, plumbing, drywall, and HVAC), and adapting plans quickly to changing conditions as necessary
• Ensure quality of each project is maintained to the highest possible standard, within safety standards, and keep each project within the approved budget by closely monitoring expenses
• Lead and participate in regular weekly staff meetings to discuss progress, issues, and direction
• Make daily visits to work sites and assist with the delivery of tools and supplies as needed
• Work with local churches to ensure follow-up with homeowners and program continuation after Samaritan's Purse has completed the project
• Other duties as assigned

• Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical studies required

• Ability to read construction drawings and blueprints
