Our busy company is seeking an experienced construction estimator to join our team of construction professionals. We need someone with strong math skills and excellent communication skills to write proposals, cost estimates, and detailed takeoffs on our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in the residential construction industry, preferably in estimating or project management. We are a luxury remodel company primarily focused on remodeling experience, with some involvement in new construction. The position will be nearly 100% dedicated to creating detailed pricing estimates for the business owners' review. Specific skills required include:

• Efficiency in reading and understanding construction drawings
• Ability to estimate projects accurately when no drawings are available
• Work within our project management system (Job Tread) for detailed quantity takeoffs
• Collaborate with trade partners to obtain estimates
• Occasional on-site meetings at jobsites
• Basic accounting skills to support estimating tasks

The salary will depend on the candidate's abilities and experience.

Compensation: $80,000

Responsibilities:

• Visit construction sites to gather client requirements
• Calculate materials, costs, labor, and time for project estimates
• Provide detailed quantity takeoff information for material lists and cost assessments
• Review proposals, blueprints, and documents to understand projects
• Coordinate with project managers and vendors during bidding

Qualifications:

• Strong project management, time management, and communication skills
• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) from ASPE (desired)
• Proficiency in MS Office and estimating software
• At least three years of experience in construction estimating or management
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field
