Job summary

AlphaX RE Capital seeks a Project Cost Manager to oversee financial performance of residential construction and development projects, managing budgets, forecasts, and reporting throughout the lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has strong cost control, analytical, and organizational skills, with experience in construction budgeting, forecasting, and ERP systems. This role requires attention to detail and collaboration across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in project cost management, construction accounting, project controls, or financial management within the construction or real estate development industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction budgeting, forecasting, job costing, contract administration, and financial reporting.
• Experience analyzing project financial performance and preparing cost reports for multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience using ERP, project management, or construction accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets from preconstruction through project completion, ensuring alignment with approved financial objectives.
• Prepare cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and budget updates based on project progress, scope changes, and construction schedules.
• Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets and identify cost variances or financial risks requiring management attention.
• Support project teams in establishing cost baselines, contingency planning, and budget allocation throughout each phase of development.
• Provide financial recommendations that improve cost efficiency while maintaining project quality and schedule commitments.
