Job summary

SCO Family of Services is seeking a Child Care Worker for Madonna Heights in Dix Hills, NY. Candidates supervise adolescent females (12-22) with SED and support daily routines in a secure, caring setting.

You will assist with ADLs, supervise activities, and contribute to educational and health supports while modeling positive behavior and promoting a safe environment. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children or adolescents (preferred).
• A strong belief in others' ability to grow and change.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADL routines and house tasks such as laundry and chore duties.
• Supervise individual and group activities including trips and events.
• Uphold behavior management, including restrictions and negotiated responses.
• Attend educational, vocational, health and mental health needs.
• Model positive behavior and address negative behavior promptly.
• Support a safe, orderly, and caring environment.
