Job summary

SCO Family of Services in New York, NY seeks a dedicated staff member to help residents with daily living needs, health and educational support, and to provide safe, supportive supervision in a residential setting.

You will establish ADL routines including house chores, wake‑ups, and meals; supervise individual and group activities such as trips, sports, and crafts; uphold behavior management strategies; and attend to educational, health, and mental health needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Three years of experience working with adolescents.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Establishes ADL routines including house jobs, room chores, wake‑ups, lights‑out, laundry, cooking.
• Supervises individual and group activities such as trips, sporting events, crafts.
• Upholds behavior management system, including restriction system, negotiations, and repertoire of confrontation techniques.
• Attends to the educational, health and mental health needs of residents.
• Models positive behavior at all times while confronting negative behavior.
• Commits to the mission by supporting a safe, orderly environment.
• Any other assigned tasks.
