Job summary

Waste Pro is hiring Energetic CDL Drivers for our Asheville market. The Residential Driver operates refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned routes, performing pre-trip checks and keeping safety standards while serving customers with courtesy. The role includes supervising helpers, recording reports, complying with DOT/state rules, and handling waste and recycling pickups. A $10,000 driver award is available to those who meet criteria every three years.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class A or B CDL valid for the state of operation.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Ability to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives truck on a pre-established residential route and dumps refuse.
• Provides courteous customer service and maintains positive attitude.
• Ensures proper pickup and transfer of garbage/recycle; may tag containers.
• Conducts daily pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT and Waste Pro rules.
• Maintains cleanliness of the truck and exterior; checks fluids and tires.
• Assists with cleanup of scattered refuse and operates vehicle hydraulics.
• Prepares and submits required company and regulation-mandated reports.
• Supervises helpers on the vehicle during the route.
• Complies with DOT/state requirements for CMV operators.
• May be required to work during emergency situations.
