Job summary

Recology King County is seeking a Driver - Residential Extra to support King County operations in Seattle. You will drive and service residential routes, perform safety checks, and maintain strong customer relations across service areas.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, safe driving, loading materials, and compliance with waste handling regulations. High school diploma and valid Class A/B license required; six months driving experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months of commercial driving experience required.
• Principles and practices of job site safety and applicable regulations.
• Basic computer programs.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Class A or B Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily safety checks and pre-trip inspections on the assigned vehicle.
• Apply safety measures consistently for operation of the vehicle.
• Operate vehicles in assigned service areas in a timely and efficient manner.
• Load materials according to procedures and report violations.
• Ensure hazardous materials are not accepted, as applicable.
• Ensure loads comply with legal limits and regulations.
• Report accidents or safety violations promptly to supervision.
• Maintain positive customer relations and support the company image.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
