Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in De Pere, Wisconsin seeks a CDL driver for residential waste/recycling collection. You will operate a front/rear-load truck, load and compact waste, and maintain cleaning and safe driving standards on predetermined routes.

The role requires a CDL, 1+ year of driving experience (or CDL school), and strict adherence to safety guidelines. Overtime may be required; benefits and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck and related equipment on assigned routes.
• Load waste/recyclables into the truck and compact material as needed.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required reports.
• Identify prohibited waste items and tag/remove them from the cart.
• Maintain route quality and follow safety policies at all times.
• Communicate vehicle issues to supervisor promptly and coordinate with helpers as needed.
• Work overtime when required and participate in safety meetings.
