Job summary

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B with air-brake endorsement required.
• 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to interact with the public and complete records.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening including drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicle per WM safety rules and DOT requirements.
• Performs pre/post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and documents checks (DVIR).
• Immediately reports all unsafe situations or service-related issues to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Attends and participates in all scheduled trainings and meetings.
• Works with Operations Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
• Notifies Operations Manager of incidents, service interruptions, or hazards.
• Complies with end-of-day documentation and checkout processes.
