Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 25 years of age.
• MSW or equivalent human services master's degree and two years of full time paid work experience in supervision of family services, or bachelors in human services and four years of experience.
• Must possess personal qualities and competence to make a positive contribution to the agencys programs.
• The appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to fulfill his/her responsibilities is required.
• Must be capable of adhering to the BCH Code of Conduct as well as the Code of Ethics of their discipline.
• Must meet the general qualifications for employment as outlined in the agencys personnel policies.
• Must be able to identify with and embrace the agencys philosophy, purpose, and spiritual emphasis

Responsibilities

• Supervision: Works under the direct supervision of the Regional Director or Director of Family Work or equivalent role.
• Prepares for and participates in weekly supervisory conferences.
• Keeps supervisor abreast of significant occurrences in relation to services to children and families.
• Takes responsibility for discussing differences in opinions and sharing feelings with supervisor.
• Shows initiative by applying information from supervisory conferences and staff development.
• Participates in area recruiting opportunities and supports staff hiring and retention.
• Maintain caseload balance across case management staff.
• Policies and Procedures: Functions within guidelines of the agency and supports planning and implementation of area calendar and events.
• Professionalism / Teamwork: Upholds cottage team roles, supports team collaboration, and shares information for decision making.
• Clients: Establishes relationships with resources for clients and supports families in accessing services.
• Record Keeping: Maintains case files and documents activities; assists with PQI reporting.
• Knowledge and Training: Continually advances knowledge in family systems and residential child care; mentors staff.
• Equipment: Operates office machines and software such as Kaleidacare, Paycor, Excel and Word.
