Job summary

MaineHealth Behavioral Health seeks a Residential Care Worker to support adults in transitional residential treatment across Maine. You will assist residents daily, help them follow treatment plans, and teach essential skills to promote recovery and reduce stigma.

The role offers evening/weekend shift differentials and requires certifications in residential medication assistance and MHRT-1 within a year. Prior residential experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Active Certified Residential Medication Aide and Personal Support Specialist certifications required.
  • MHRT-1 certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
  • Valid Driver’s License preferred.
  • Experience working in a residential setting preferred.

The Residential Care Worker I role is responsible for providing personal care, supervision, and skills teaching to clients/residents as outlined on individual treatment plans.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Current certification as an Active Certified Residential Medication Aide and Personal Support Specialist required. Current certification as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT 1) must be obtained within one year of employment. Valid Driver’s License preferred.
  • Experience: Experience working in a residential setting preferred.

The pay range for this position is $19.87to $23.75 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
