Job summary

CMCSB is hiring a Residential Technician for a full-time role at Lebanon Group Home and Elk Garden Group Home. Responsibilities include supervising residents, delivering personal care, assisting with medications, and maintaining safe, clean group home conditions.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Flexible hours and a comprehensive benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; knowledge, skills and abilities required.
• Education equivalent to a high school diploma may be considered with proof of knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Current valid driver's license and good driving record also required.
• Ability to lift forty (40) pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Effective problem solving and decision making skills.
• Ability to intervene in a crisis situation and manage physical behaviors of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Ability to successfully complete training in, and demonstrate a practical use of, Medication Administration, Medication Repackaging, Medicaid Waiver Training, CPR, First Aid, Safety Care (behavior intervention training) and required trainings.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to differentiate role with co-workers and role with residents.
• Ability to organize work and be self-directed.
• Ability to perform general household cleaning, upkeep and maintenance.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents in all aspects of daily living.
• Provide instruction for individual service plan outcomes and record program data.
• Transport and accompany individuals to appointments and activities.
• Assist with medication administration and documentation.
• Assist with meal preparation and grocery shopping.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary residential environment.
• Apply agency-approved techniques to manage aggressive behaviors.
