Job summary

Advantage Behavioral Health is seeking a Residential Support Staff (RSS) in Lancaster, Ohio, to provide direct support and supervision to residents in a 24/7 mental health treatment environment. The RSS plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe therapeutic environment while assisting clients with their daily activities and monitoring behavior.

The ideal candidate should possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preferred education in human services. The position demands strong interpersonal skills, the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations, and experience in behavioral health settings. CPR certification and crisis intervention training are also preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement is a High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred candidates should have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Social Work.
• Experience in behavioral health or residential settings is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 supervision of residents to ensure safety and support.
• Conduct regular safety checks and document findings.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Facilitate daily schedules, ensuring timely attendance to meals and appointments.
• Document resident behavior in the Electronic Medical Record system.
