Job summary

VisionQuest is seeking a Residential Direct Care Supervisor to oversee residential services for children and youth. You will supervise Youth Care Workers, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with Texas DFPS standards while maintaining a safe, supportive environment.

The role emphasizes coaching, staff development, and collaboration across departments. A strong background in human services and supervisory experience is required, with emphasis on documentation and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• TB screening cleared prior to contact with children.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Clear background checks from criminal history and child abuse registry.
• CPR/First Aid and CPI certification must be obtained and maintained.
• Valid driver's license; able to drive to support program services.
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, supervise, and monitor Youth Care Workers across all shifts.
• Maintain staff-to-child ratios and ensure direct supervision and line-of-sight.
• Provide coaching, performance evaluations, and document issues.
• Oversee staff scheduling, time-off, and timecard reviews.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees.
• Develop individualized training plans and support staff development.
