Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy is seeking a Residential Care Advisor to support adults with intellectual disabilities and mental illness in a 56-bed residential home in Wilkinsburg, PA. The role emphasizes mentoring a team, strengths-based care, and community activities to promote resident well-being.

Full-time, non-exempt, with a schedule of Monday–Friday 4pm–midnight, and an emphasis on health, safety, and social engagement for residents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma/Equivalent with 1 year direct care experience.
• Valid Driver license required.
• Ability to drive an organizational vehicle.
• Act 33/34/73 clearances required.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Assist and train adults with Intellectual Disabilities/Serious Mental Illness in residential settings.
• Lead and mentor a team with a strengths-based approach.
• Work in a 56-bed Personal Care Home in Wilkinsburg, PA on a bus line.
• Perform daily health and welfare tasks for residents and site operations.
• Encourage social participation and community-based activities for residents.
