Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy is seeking a Residential Support Specialist to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently. You will provide compassionate, person-centered care and support residents in daily activities within a collaborative care environment.

The role requires a night shift, full-time schedule, and completion of required clearances and training within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation locally.
• Clearances: Act 33/34/73.
• Pre-employment drug screen, physical and TB test required.
• Must complete Department of Public Welfare Medication Training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized support to residents, developing and implementing care plans.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene and meals.
• Implement behavioral support plans with the team to manage behaviors.
• Facilitate community engagement and social activities for residents.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, sharing progress and updates.
