Job summary

AWARE is seeking a Residential Manager to lead Intensive Support and Stabilization Care in our Montana group home. You will oversee staff, ensure high-quality resident care, and manage day-to-day operations and budgets.

Responsibilities include staffing, care planning, compliance with state licensing, safety, record-keeping, and collaboration with families and agencies. Training in de-escalation and safety will be provided.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree in Human Services or 4+ years of direct employment experience with 2+ years in leadership
• Must have Montana driver’s license or ability to obtain one within a reasonable time

Responsibilities

• Staff management: hire, train, supervise, and schedule staff for coverage
• Resident care: ensure residents receive appropriate care and opportunities for personal growth
• Financial management: develop and maintain budgets and manage overtime
• Compliance: ensure adherence to state and federal regulations and licensing
• Safety and maintenance: oversee the home’s environment to be safe and well-maintained
• Communication and collaboration: maintain effective communication with residents, families, and agencies
• Record keeping: maintain accurate records of residents, staff, finances, and operations
• Provides directions for day-to-day operation of the group home
• Ensures treatment interventions are maintained and communicated across shifts
• Provides input regarding resident care and supervision to interested parties
• Leads in development of Individual Treatment Plans and related therapies
• Ensures safety procedures and residents’ rights are enforced
• Manages day-to-day finances of residents and the group home
• Oversee resident care environment, vehicles, and other equipment
• Participates as a treatment team member for all residents' cases
• Adheres to Montana licensing standards and participates in annual reviews
• Provides supervision and performance evaluations for staff
• Plans and supervises community and group activities to build skills and coping mechanisms
• Works toward achieving key performance indicators regularly
• Attends mandatory training and committee meetings
• Completes required testing in areas including de-escalation, safety, and health
