Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AMAP qualification at hire or within six months.
• Valid NY Driver’s License in good standing.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and supervision to residents to promote independence.
• Ensure safety, health, and well-being of residents at all times.
• Teach activities of daily living and life skills.
• Document daily activities, progress notes, and incidents timely.
• Respond to crises and medical emergencies; provide first aid.
• Administer medications as AMAP under nursing supervision.
• Assist with meal planning, groceries, and meal prep.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
