Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid MI driver's license required.
• Must maintain an acceptable driving record per insurer criteria.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Advocates for those served on personal, family, and community levels.
• Observes and documents changes in the physical and mental condition of those served.
• Administers first aid and simple nursing procedures as needed.
• Ensures privacy and dignity of those served; reports abuse or neglect.
• Transports individuals to community locations using agency or personal vehicles.
• Administers programs to individuals and documents progress, as prescribed.
• Assists in meal preparation, cleaning, small home repairs and light maintenance.
• Provides hospitality to visitors at the residence.
• Explores opportunities for community participation for those served.
• Responds to health risks and communicates hazards through the agency hierarchy.
