Job summary

Pittsburgh Mercy in Pittsburgh's South Side is seeking a part-time behavioral health professional to provide direct and indirect services for adults with mental illness, including safety checks, case monitoring, and shift documentation.

The 16-bed residential unit emphasizes community re-entry and collaboration with treatment teams; requires Masters or Bachelor's in Human Services with experience, valid driver's license, clearances, and pre-employment screening; work is non-exempt hourly with

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Human Services and 1 year of applicable experience, or Bachelor's degree in Human Services related field with 3 years of applicable experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to drive an organization vehicle.
• Act 33/34/73 clearances.
• Pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Will provide direct and indirect services for mentally ill and dual-diagnosed adults including safety checks, unit monitoring, crisis de-escalation and shift documentation.
• Integral member of our Treatment Team, in constant collaboration unit supervisors and other team members.
• Responsible for helping persons served with severe persistent mental illness maintain safety and stability throughout their stay in a residential facility.
• The program is a 16 bed unit located in the South Side area of Pittsburgh that connects adults with mental illness back to the community after psychiatric hospitalization.
