Job summary

The University at Buffalo - SUNY is seeking a Residential Capital Project Administrator in Residential Planning, Design & Construction. This role oversees professional administration and coordination of processes advancing the residential capital project portfolio from initiation through design, procurement, contracting, construction, financial administration, and closeout.

Reporting to the Director, you will manage workflows, documentation, approvals, and risk escalation while collaborating

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of professional experience in capital project administration or related field.
• Experience managing multiple complex workflows, projects, or processes simultaneously.
• Ability to organize work, set priorities, identify problems, and follow through to resolution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the department’s professional resource for administrative processes supporting capital project delivery.
• Administers procurement and contracting workflows, required approvals, project documentation, and closeout.
• Identifies actions and dependencies; determines appropriate administrative pathways.
• Identifies incomplete documentation and pursues corrective actions.
• Escalates significant risks to the Director and works with responsible offices to resolve barriers.
