Job summary

PBS Facility Service is seeking a dedicated Building Superintendent/Handyman to manage day-to-day maintenance for a residential property. You will work with the property manager and contractors to ensure repairs are completed and safety standards are met.

You will oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and minor carpentry, update work orders, and perform preventative maintenance while keeping accurate logs and tenant communications.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs.
• Skilled in painting, plastering, sheetrock work, and carpentry.
• Familiar with building codes and safety standards.
• Ability to lift heavy items and work in cramped spaces.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance and repair tasks for the property.
• Coordinate and close out work orders in the system.
• Interact with tenants professionally and address concerns promptly.
• Perform preventative maintenance of interior and exterior areas.
• Inspect common areas and maintain safety logs and records.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and readiness of vacant units.
• Collaborate with contractors and document all activities.
