Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in building maintenance or mechanical systems is beneficial.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and boiler systems.
• Familiarity with residential apartment building maintenance preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use computerized maintenance and work order systems.
• Licenses or certifications for specialized work, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building equipment and systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC systems.
• Monitor and maintain boilers, radiators, pumps, and other equipment.
• Perform general plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs within qualifications.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests and complete work orders promptly.
• Conduct routine property inspections to identify maintenance and safety concerns.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failures.
• Assist with preparing vacant apartment units for occupancy.
• Maintain clean and safe mechanical rooms and workspaces.
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations, including after-hours calls.
