Job summary

Campus Apartments is seeking an Experienced Residential Building Engineer to oversee the physical and mechanical upkeep of our properties. You will manage maintenance, supervise night and weekend staff, and coordinate capital improvements with the General Manager.

Requirements include a high school diploma, HVAC certification, electrical certification, and a valid driver’s license. Two years of supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required; additional education preferred.
• HVAC certification is required; electrical certification preferred.
• Universal certification to be obtained within one year of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
• Minimum of two years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of painting and cleaning of the property (internal and external).
• Maintenance work (including mechanical) and fire alarm checks; capital projects completed in-house.
• Schedule capital improvement projects and apartment work; set scope and bids.
• Repair appliances and boiler machinery; obtain quotes as needed.
• Supervise night and weekend maintenance staff; includes bus drivers where applicable.
• Ensure timely, professional, and courteous completion of all work orders.
• Hire and terminate maintenance staff in cooperation with General Manager.
• Work with General Manager on daily scheduling and budgeting.
