Job summary

CVS Health in the United States is seeking a Behavioral Health Residential Coordinator to support the Behavioral Health Child/Adolescent Utilization Management Department. The role coordinates residential treatment admissions and serves as a liaison among teams, providers, and external stakeholders to ensure timely access to appropriate care.

You will manage referrals, monitor progress, assist with facility challenges, and participate in utilization management rounds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Arizona behavioral health system, network operations, and community-based treatment resources.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time within Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate residential treatment facility referrals and admissions for members approved for out-of-home behavioral health residential treatment across multiple levels of care.
• Identify clinically appropriate participating residential treatment providers to support the member's treatment goals.
• Manage the residential referral process, including distribution of referrals, tracking provider responses, and maintaining documentation.
• Collaborate with behavioral health homes, treating providers, and community partners to ensure timely submission of clinical information for facility reviews.
• Monitor referral status and facility timelines to promote timely access to care.
• Serve as primary contact for residential treatment providers, behavioral health homes, and internal stakeholders.
• Respond with urgency to facility disruptions, denials, or changes in member circumstances by identifying and coordinating alternatives.
• Participate in behavioral health utilization management rounds and interdisciplinary case reviews.
• Facilitate and participate in meetings with residential providers to support collaboration and improve outcomes.
