Job summary

The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation (TRMF) is seeking a Residence Assistant to maintain a safe, positive housing atmosphere for seasonal staff. You will clean dorms and public spaces, check in/out rooms, inspect and assist with lockouts, and support HR with dorm requests.

Workdays are six days per week with split shifts, including mornings and evenings. The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Reliable, on time and ready for every shift.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with tact, professionalism and diplomacy.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to address employee concerns sympathetically.

Responsibilities

• Work 6 days a week with 8:00am-12:00pm and 4:00pm-8:00pm shifts.
• Maintain dorm and public area cleanliness; check-in/out employees.
• Assist HR with dorm requests and room inspections.
• Aid employees who are locked out and deep clean rooms and shared spaces.
• Promote a safe, welcoming atmosphere and host or support social events.
• Report maintenance needs to HR; complete check-out sheets for departures.
