Job summary

AHRC NYC is seeking multiple Residential Assistant Managers for Queens ICF and IRA group homes. You will supervise direct support staff, assist with program planning, and ensure compliance with regulations.

A $45,150–$50,400 salary plus a $750 bonus after driving-class completion and comprehensive benefits are provided. Weekly schedule includes one weekend day, with two consecutive days off, and day/evening shifts without overnights.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising staff in a residential setting (preferred).
• Experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is REQUIRED.
• Knowledge of developmental and intellectual disabilities and OPWDD regulations.
• Willingness to work one weekend day per week.
• Ability to plan, organize, develop, and implement program policies and procedures.
• Diplomacy in dealing with staff, residents, families, visitors and authorities.
• HS diploma or GED with 3+ years DSP experience at OPWDD residence.
• Valid NY/Tri-State driver’s license for 1+ year in good standing (required).

Responsibilities

• Ensure ongoing compliance with State and Federal regulations for the residence.
• Supervise direct support staff and document evaluations.
• Provide service coverage per Residence Manager’s scheduling.
• Oversee operations including housing, vehicles, safety, and files.
• Collaborate on individualized resident plans and service delivery.
• Assist medical services with records, appointments, meds, and referrals.
• Ensure residents’ basic needs—food, clothing, hygiene—are met.
• Assist in quality review meetings and program improvements.
• Provide staff training and professional development.
