Job summary

AHRC NYC in Manhattan seeks a Residential Manager to oversee the operation of a Group Home, supervising direct support staff and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will work with the management team to design services for residents and collaborate with outside agencies for personalized planning.

The role requires IDD-related experience, supervisory background, and a valid NYS or Tri-state driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) is required.
• Experience as a supervisor in a residential setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of OPWDD regulations is required.
• Valid NYS or Tri-state driver’s license for more than one year is required.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including one day of each weekend.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assumes overall responsibilities for the smooth operation of the residence.
• Ensures ongoing compliance and quality assurance with State and Federal regulations pertinent to the operation of the residence.
• Provides direct supervision of direct support staff assigned to the residence.
• Collaborates with the management team to create a program of services for each resident and assigns tasks to the direct support team.
• Participates in comprehensive service planning activities with outside agencies for each resident.
