Job summary

Alpharus Health Residential Substance Use Treatment Facility in Jacksonville, IL seeks a Residential Assistant to monitor and support clients in a structured treatment program. The role includes ensuring client safety and assisting in meeting therapeutic goals with motivational guidance.

Responsibilities include coordinating transportation, supporting treatment plans, and helping plan recreational activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Minimum of 6 months of training or equivalent knowledge of substance abuse treatment theory and practice.
• Must be able to respectfully interact with substance abuse clients and form a working therapeutic alliance.
• Valid driver's license in state of hire and good driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, observe, and ensure the safety and well-being of clients in a substance abuse treatment program.
• Provide motivational and educational support to assist clients in meeting therapeutic goals.
• Schedule and coordinate client transportation and assist with planning client recreational events.
• Support treatment plans by reporting client observations and contributing to decisions concerning therapy, discipline and privileges.
• Other duties as assigned.
