Job summary

Harrell Design + Build in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Residential Architect / Project Developer to guide clients through remodeling from concept to constructible plans. You’ll balance design creativity with feasibility, budgeting, permitting, and construction realities, working onsite with clients and internal teams.

The role requires 5+ years in residential architecture, a Bachelor's in Architecture, and an active license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required.
• Current and active architect license required.
• 5+ years of experience in residential architecture or design-build.
• Proficiency with Chief Architect, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe, and BuilderTrend.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet with homeowners to understand goals, budget and project vision.
• Develop architectural concepts, space plans, and design solutions.
• Prepare code-compliant drawings for design development and permitting.
• Coordinate permit submittals and respond to plan-check comments.
• Collaborate with Sales, Interior Design and Production to align projects.
• Guide clients through remodeling feasibility and design direction.
