Lars Remodeling & Design in San Diego is seeking a Residential Architect with California licensure to join our in-house team. This full-time, on-site role involves leading design development, preparing construction documents, and coordinating with consultants and regulatory bodies.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of residential design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and is a proactive self-starter able to manage multiple projects and junior staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in residential design.
• Licensed Architect is a plus.
• Proficient on AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of materials, construction techniques and building codes.
• Self-starter with ability to problem solve individually and with the project team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project consultants, interior designers, estimators, product specialists, and project managers on design development and construction documents.
• Coordinate with consultants and regulatory agencies to meet project objectives.
• Produce graphics, 3D renderings, and construction drawings.
• Assist in managing client expectations and consultant coordination.
• Meet with clients to understand project objectives and present design options.
• Delegate and manage junior designers' workloads.
• Assist Project Manager with construction administration.

Job Description

Lars Remodeling & Design, an award-winning home remodeling company in San Diego specializing in residential remodels and new home construction, is seeking a Residential Architect, preferably a California Licensed Architect to join our growing team of professionals. This is a full-time, office-based position. No telecommuting. No consulting.

Candidates will be responsible for, but not limited to the following

• Collaborate with the team of Project Consultants, Interior Designers, Estimators, Product Specialists, Estimators and Construction Project Managers on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, construction documents and production/construction.
• Coordinate with consultants and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
• Resolve design problems with creative design solutions.
• Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings and construction drawings.
• As part of the professional team, assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination from the perspective of an architectural expert.
• Meet with clients to better understand project objective.
• Ability to present conceptual design options to client.
• Delegate and manage Junior Residential Designers' and Drafters' workload and calendars.
• Assist Project Manager with construction administration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in residential design.
• Licensed Architect is a plus.
• Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to problem solve individually and with the project team.
• Proficient on AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of materials, construction techniques and building codes.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.

Salary: $85,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year, based on experience.
