Job summary

Leisure World of Maryland Corporation (LWMC) is seeking a full-time Appliance Mechanic to install, service, and repair residential appliances in the Leisure World Community in Montgomery County, MD. The ideal candidate has at least three years of hands-on experience, CFC certification, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read schematics, use hand tools, and communicate clearly with customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years experience in appliance installation and repair.
• CFC certification and/or license in refrigerant, transition, and recovery required.
• Current valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Refer to schematics, manuals, and guides to diagnose and repair problems.
• Service and repair residential appliances such as washers, dryers, refrigerators, and stoves.
• Replace worn parts, test operation, and ensure proper installation.
• Instruct customers on operation and care of appliances and provide cost estimates.
• Maintain on-site vehicle and stock of parts, complete work orders with customer signatures.
