Job summary

Leisure World of Maryland Corporation (LWMC) seeks an Assistant Building Engineer to maintain, repair and operate residential building systems across Mutual properties. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and related equipment, and a customer-service approach with residents and contractors.

The ideal candidate will have five or more years of experience in building maintenance; a 3rd Class Engineering License is preferred.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of residential building maintenance experience.
• Experience with troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of building systems.
• 3rd Class Engineering License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and replace building systems equipment in assigned Mutual buildings.
• Assist in overseeing maintenance work by contractors.
• Provide on-call emergency coverage.
• Participate in preventative maintenance program.
• Respond to resident requests and complaints.
• Coordinate with Building Engineer and Property Manager.
