Sears is seeking a field service technician in the Berlin, WI area. You will diagnose and repair major home appliances, perform on-site maintenance, and clearly explain diagnostics and repair options to customers.

This role requires strong problem-solving, reliable vehicle, and a commitment to safety and quality service. You’ll document service calls, stay current with appliance tech, and collaborate with the team to continually improve service delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in appliance repair is a plus.
• Hands-on experience as a home appliance technician or related role.
• Strong diagnostic thinking and practical problem-solving skills.
• Clear, customer-friendly communication and solid interpersonal abilities.
• Self-directed work style with strong time management.
• EPA Type 1 or Universal preferred.

A day in the lifeBased in Berlin, WI, you’ll start your morning reviewing your route, loading the right parts, and heading out to customers within driving distance. Your first call might be a refrigerator that won’t cool; you’ll diagnose quickly, communicate options clearly, and complete a safe, efficient repair. Next up could be a washer with an imbalance issue or an oven with a faulty element. Throughout the day, you’ll capture accurate notes on parts and labor, follow safety protocols, and keep customers informed.
