Job summary

The Connection in New Haven seeks a Residential Aide to support men and women re-entering the community after incarceration. This per diem role requires a strengths-based, client-centered approach and the ability to provide structure and supervision alongside program staff.

The ideal candidate has recovery or justice-involved experience and can maintain professional boundaries while helping clients access education, health services, and employment resources.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years experience as a Residential Aide or equivalent.
• Associate's Degree is acceptable as an alternative.
• Experience supporting adults transitioning from incarceration preferred.

Position: Residential AideProgram: Roger Sherman HouseLocation: New HavenSalary: $20.00/hourSchedule: Per Diem (Days, hours and shifts will vary)Program Summary:This residential work release program offers comprehensive case management services and employment readiness support. It serves adult men under the supervision of the Department of Correction as they transition back into the community following a period of incarceration. Participants receive support from dedicated case managers, assistance with job readiness, and connections to local services such as health care, continuing education, and formal vocational training.Position Summary:This Residential Aide will utilize a strengths-based & client-centered approach, providing structure and supervision to justice involved Men/Women as they re-enter the community after a period of incarceration. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals in recovery and/or those who are justice involved or have a client/customer support background and be highly motivated to help others make positive change.
