Job summary

The Connection in New Haven seeks a Residential Aide to support men and women re-entering the community after incarceration. This per diem role requires a strengths-based, client-centered approach and the ability to provide structure and supervision alongside program staff.

The ideal candidate has recovery or justice-involved experience and can maintain professional boundaries while helping clients access education, health services, and employment resources.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years experience as a Residential Aide or equivalent.
• Associate's Degree is acceptable as an alternative.
• Experience supporting adults transitioning from incarceration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide structure and supervision to justice involved men and women re-entering the community.
• Utilize strengths-based, client-centered approaches in daily interactions.
• Coordinate with program staff to support rehabilitation and employment readiness.
• Maintain professional boundaries while delivering compassionate care.
