Job summary

LifeWay Network in Queens, NY is seeking a Residential Aide (RA) to staff overnight shifts for the Safe Housing program. This temporary, in-person position runs mid-January to mid-February 2026 and reports to the Senior House Manager.

The RA provides day-to-day support to residents, assists with crisis response and trauma-informed care, and collaborates with staff to maintain safety, cleanliness, confidentiality, and a respectful, supportive home.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with housekeeping duties is required.
• Availability for evenings, overnights, and some holidays.
• Experience with vulnerable individuals, especially survivors, is preferred.
• Understand confidentiality and privacy procedures.
• Proficient with Google Suite and general computer skills.
• Shelter/residence management experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and survivor-centered approaches.
• Experience in multicultural settings is preferred.

• Keep records of resident activity, behavior, and moods.
• Provide companionship and build trust with residents.
