Talbert House is seeking a Residential Advisor for the Residential Corrections program on the 3rd shift in Cincinnati, OH. You will help maintain a safe, structured environment and support clients’ growth through daily supervision and client engagement.

The role involves safety checks, medication observation, crisis de‑escalation, and assisting with non‑clinical intakes while fostering empathy, accountability, and professionalism among the team.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills for listening, speaking, and writing.
• Calm, level‑headed problem solving under pressure.
• Basic computer know‑how for documentation and record‑keeping.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily client activities and maintain a safe, structured environment.
• Conduct safety checks and facility rounds to ensure smooth operations.
• Support clients in developing decision‑making and life skills.
• Distribute medications and observe drug screenings as required.
• Conduct searches of client belongings to maintain safety.
• Document observations and incidents accurately using our software.
• Respond to emergencies with de‑escalation and crisis management techniques.
• Greet and assist new clients during non‑clinical intakes.
• Monitor behavior and help clients progress through the program.
• Provide transportation to appointments or activities when needed.
• Be a flexible, trusted team member and assist with other duties as assigned.
