Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is seeking a Residential Advisor for the Tongue Point Job Corps Center in Astoria, Oregon. In this role you will help create a welcoming, inclusive community, support students in daily dorm life, and lead activities that engage learners and strengthen the center’s culture during swing or graveyard shifts.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, strong team leadership and conflict-resolution skills, excellent written and verbal

• Excellent written and verbal communication and computer proficiency.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assist with dorm activities and dorm competitions as designated by supervisor.
• Help students deal with the daily stresses of dorm living and enlighten them to the perks of it.
• Prepare documentation including accountability of students and an activity log.
• Patrol and monitor dorm and grounds.
• Transport students to and from recreational functions.
• Assist in dorm recreational activities and conduct dorm meetings.
• Audit and ensure files are accurate and complete.

Schedule: VARIES

Swing Shift

• Monday through Friday, 1pm to 10pm; Saturday/ Sunday
• Wednesday through Sunday, 4pm to 1am; Monday/ Tuesday, OFF
• Tuesday through Saturday: Tuesday, 3pm to 12am, Wednesday - Thursday, 3:30p to 12:30am, Friday - Saturday, 5pm to 2am; Sunday/ Monday, OFF
• Saturday through Wednesday; Saturday, 10am to 7pm; Sunday, 8:30am to 5:30pm; Monday, 2:30pm to 11:30pm; Tuesday, 3pm to 12am; Wednesday/ Thursday, OFF
• Wednesday through Sunday; Wednesday - Thursday, 3pm to 12am; Friday and Saturday, 5pm to 2am; Saturday, 3pm to 12am

Graveyard Shift

• Wednesday through Saturday; Wednesday - Friday, 11:30pm to 9:30am; Saturday, 8am to 6:30pm; Sunday/ Monday/ Tuesday, OFF
• Friday through Monday, 10 hour shifts, four days per week, 11:00 to 9:00 am

On-call: possibility of working a variety of shifts – afternoon, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Job Duties Include

• Audit and endure files are accurate and complete.
• Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Dynamic team leadership skills and good conflict interventions skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency, and
• Valid driver license in your state of residence with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds, and walk outside on uneven terrain in varying weather conditions during patrols
