Job summary

Talbert House, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Resident Advisor for the Corrections program (2nd shift, Thursday-Sunday) in Cincinnati, OH. You will support residents in a safe, structured environment and assist with daily activities, transportation, and non-clinical intakes.

We value empathy, reliability, and clear communication; prior human services experience is a plus. Training is provided, and a valid driver’s license with insurance is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, listening, and writing abilities.

• High school diploma or GED; 0–2 years experience (training provided).
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance (if driving is part of role).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily client activities and maintain a safe, structured environment.
• Conduct routine safety checks and facility rounds.
• Assist clients in developing decision-making and life skills.
• Distribute medications and observe drug screenings.
• Document observations and incidents using our software.
• Assist with non-clinical intakes and transportation as needed.
• Be a flexible team member; perform other duties as assigned.
• Respond to emergencies with de-escalation and crisis-management techniques.
