Job summary

Bizzell Group is seeking a full-time Residential Advisor at Guthrie Job Corps Center in Guthrie, OK. The role focuses on paraprofessional student support, supervising dormitory operations, and maintaining a safe living environment across varied shifts.

Candidates should have strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and experience with residential living procedures. The position requires flexibility to work 3:00 PM–Midnight or 11:30 PM–8:30 AM shifts.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
• Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with students.

Responsibilities

• Ensures orderly, clean-living conditions by scheduling and supervising clean-up and submitting repair requests.
• Provides supervision for cafeteria, laundry, activities, and other areas as scheduled or assigned.
• Identifies and assists students with special problems and conducts dormitory meetings.
• Maintains communication with students’ counselors, instructors, and other staff.
• Attends staff in-service training sessions and other trainings or meetings.
• Establishes a close working relationship with students and motivates them toward goals.
• Initiates and directs dormitory programs utilizing Center services and activities.
• Prepares and maintains logs and ensures CIS entries are accurate and up to date.
• Transports students to activities and events as needed.
• Ensures a safe and secure environment and secure buildings at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
