Job summary

Fort Wayne Health Campus is seeking a Wellness Coordinator to support planning, coordination, promotion, and delivery of resident-centered wellness activities. You will assist with community outreach, organize the two-week activity calendar, coordinate with vendors, and help manage communications and safety across campus.

• Education or training in wellness, recreation, fitness, health, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and delivering engaging wellness programs that support residents’ diverse interests, abilities, and needs.
• Prepare and update a rolling two-week wellness activity calendar in coordination with the Director of Wellness; carry out assigned activities and schedules.
• Help coordinate outside vendors, local businesses, health professionals, and community partners for programs, tours, outings, presentations, and screenings.
• Gather program materials and supplies while using approved resources responsibly; notify the Director of Wellness of budget needs.
• Encourage resident participation and help gather feedback through resident surveys conducted one to two times annually.
• Assist with quarterly wellness newsletters, campus communications, flyers, and community outreach.
• Update the Uniguest community app as assigned, including resident/staff entries, program postings, flyers, and community messages.
• Monitor exercise areas and equipment for safety, report maintenance concerns, and collect required staff and visitor exercise-room consent forms.
• Record monthly participation counts for wellness activities, Rock Steady Boxing (RSB), and support groups.
• Coordinate with Wellness Department colleagues and report scheduling, timekeeping, or payroll discrepancies to the Director of Wellness.
• Maintain required training and certifications and perform other related duties as assigned.
