Job summary

Family Health Center in Vincennes, IN seeks a Resident Assistant to support adult and older adult residents in a group home. You will assist with daily living, medication management, and creating a safe, respectful living environment.

This role emphasizes teamwork with a multidisciplinary staff, routines planning, healthy meals, and community engagement, with shifts on Thursday through Saturday 7A-7P.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required (training provided upon hire).
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Experience working with diverse populations and individuals with complex medical or behavioral health needs is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic computer applications and EMR systems helpful.

Responsibilities

• Educate, guide, and support residents in activities of daily living to promote independence and self-care.
• Assist residents with medication management and safe self-administration.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe operation of residential sites.
• Plan and assist with daily menus to encourage healthy nutrition.
• Conduct daily well-being assessments and communicate concerns to staff.
• Serve as a positive role model and resource for residents.
