Job summary

The Summit of Lawrenceburg is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care in an assisted living environment. You will assist residents with daily activities, monitor safety, and help maintain a clean, dignified living space.

This role includes weekend 6am-2pm scheduling, holiday coverage, and teamwork with nurses and administrators to support residents' independence and well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CNA certification welcome but not required.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required.
• Dependable, compassionate and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and personal hygiene.
• Provide assistance with mobility, transfers and ambulation.
• Assist with incontinence care and regularly scheduled toileting.
• Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance.
• Assist residents with meals, hydration and daily activities.
• Observe and report changes to the nurse or supervisor.
• Maintain clean and organized resident rooms; assist light housekeeping.
• Document resident care and report pertinent information during shift changes.
• Follow infection prevention, emergency and safety procedures.
• Maintain resident privacy, confidentiality and dignity.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Clinical Director or Administrator.
