Job summary

The Summit of Lawrenceburg is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant to support residents in daily living activities within an assisted living environment. You will help with ADLs, mobility, meals, and personal care while promoting dignity and independence.

This role requires reliability, teamwork, and clear communication with residents, families and staff. Weekend 6am-2pm shifts and holiday coverage are required as scheduled, with a supportive administration focused on safety and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CNA certification welcome but not required.
• Experience in assisted living or caregiving preferred but not required.
• Dependable, compassionate and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Able to communicate effectively with residents, families and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and personal hygiene.
• Provide assistance with mobility, transfers and ambulation.
• Assist with incontinence care and regularly scheduled toileting.
• Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests for assistance.
• Assist residents with meals, hydration and daily activities.
• Observe and promptly report changes in residents' physical condition, behavior or mental status to the nurse or supervisor.
• Maintain clean and organized resident rooms; may assist housekeeping with beds, linens, laundry and light cleaning.
• Document resident care and report pertinent information during shift changes.
• Follow established infection prevention, emergency and resident safety procedures.
• Maintain resident privacy, confidentiality and dignity.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinical Director or Administrator.

Position Summary

The Resident Assistant provides compassionate, hands-on assistance to residents in an assisted living environment. This position is responsible for helping residents with activities of daily living, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and promoting residents' dignity, independence and overall well-being.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and personal hygiene.

• Maintain resident privacy, confidentiality and dignity.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinical Director or Administrator.

  Physical Requirements

  Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, reach, and assist residents with mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment and safe lifting procedures.

  Scheduling Requirements
  Hiring for Weekend 6am-2pm shift. Must be able to work Holidays as scheduled.
