Job summary

St. Gabriel's Community in Owatonna, MN is seeking a Casual Wellness Assistant to help develop and facilitate wellness programming for residents.

You will support daily events and assist in data collection for assessments, contributing to each resident's plan of care with empathy and respect. The role requires weekend availability (one weekend per month) and a background in long-term care, with certifications such as BLS and First Aid preferred or required as indicated.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in long term care preferred.
• BLS Certification required.
• First Aid Certification required.
• Must meet federal regulations for activities program leadership.
• Two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, with 1 year full-time in a healthcare setting, or qualification as OT/OTA, or completed state-approved training.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing the community’s wellness programming and facilitates daily events.
• Performs data collection to assist with residents’ assessment processes.
• Assists in implementing the plan of care based on residents’ needs.
