Job summary

McCormick's Creek Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an Activity Director to develop and lead an engaging program of activities for residents. You will plan diverse programs, coordinate a monthly calendar, and collaborate with staff and volunteers to promote well-being and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Completed Activity Director training course.
• Minimum 2 years experience in social or recreational program.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and plan activities including group social activities.
• Provide opportunities for resident involvement in planning and implementation of activities.
• Create arts, crafts, music, drama and educational programs.
• Prepare, plan and coordinate a monthly calendar of activities.
• Oversight of Activity Aides and supervise volunteers.
• Assess resident needs and develop activity goals for the written care plan.
• Document MDS reports and progress notes.
• Attend care plan meetings and department head meetings.
