Job summary

EPIC Healthcare is seeking an energetic Activity Director to plan and oversee a vibrant calendar of recreational, social, and therapeutic programs for residents. You will drive engagement and meaningful experiences that bring joy, purpose, and a sense of community to those we serve daily.

The role requires leadership, organization, and excellent communication, with a focus on compliance with regulations and collaboration with nursing and therapy teams to promote resident wellness.

Qualifications

• Experience in activities, recreation, or therapeutic recreation within healthcare or senior living settings.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• ADC certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Knowledge of state regulations related to activity programs in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging activity programs tailored to residents’ needs and interests.
• Coordinate group and individual activities such as arts, music, games, exercise, outings, and celebrations.
• Collaborate with nursing and therapy departments to promote resident wellness.
• Maintain accurate participation records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Supervise and support activity staff and volunteers.
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere throughout the facility.
